La separación de la pareja supone cambios importantes en la vida del niño, lo que hace necesario reorganizar
las relaciones entre los padres y los hijos. En esta reorganización puede producirse el Síndrome de Alienación
Parental (SAP).
El Síndrome de Alienación Parental fue propuesto por Richard A. Gardner (1985) como una alteración que
ocurre en algunas rupturas conyugales muy conflictivas. En ella, los hijos están preocupados en censurar,
criticar y rechazar a uno de sus progenitores, descalificación que es injustificada y/o exagerada. Otras manifestaciones
sintomáticas del síndrome son: justificaciones para el desprecio débiles y absurdas, ausencia
de ambivalencia, los menores no muestran sentimientos encontrados, presencia de argumentos prestados …
entre otras.
En este trabajo se analizan 3 casos de familias inmersas en Síndrome de Alienación Parental, procedentes del
Punto de Encuentro Familiar de la Cruz Roja de Castellón, y que en su mayoría fueron finalmente derivados
a servicios de mediación. En concreto, para cada caso se analizan, la presencia/ausencia de los diferentes
síntomas primarios de Gardner, así como su nivel de intensidad (leve, moderado y grave) y su momento de
aparición (primario vs secundario). Por último, los casos presentados se comparan con los resultados de los
diferentes estudios sobre el Síndrome. [-]
