La teoria de la relatividad restringida

Abstract

Es presenta la teoria de la relativitat restringida: els seus antecedents, alguns aspectes fonamentals de la teoria, en particular de nou caràcter (local) del temps, així corn una sèrie de conseqüències immediates que es deriven d’aquesta teoria i que són clarament distintes de les prediccions que es deriven de la mecànica Newtoniana i les transformacions de Galileu. Es dedica una secció a la velocitat de la llum corn velocitat límit que es converteix en referent per a la pròpia definició de la unitat de distància (el metre). Una sèrie de comentaris i conclusions finals tanquen l’article.

The article deals with special relativity: its precedents, some fundamental aspects of relativity theory, especially the new -local- character of time as a dynamical variable, as well as some immediate important consequences which follow from the new theoretical frame and which are distinctly different from the predictions of classical, no relativistic mechanics based on the Galileo transformation. Debited attention is paid to the speed of light, which in this theory becomes a fundamental reference for the very definition of distance the meter. The paper ends with several comments related to evidences in support of the relativistic theory.
