It is true that the concept of financial globalization is linked in some way to a growth stage, insofar as we refer to the real economy of a territory. However, we cannot say that one concept is causal to the other, since there are cases that encourage us to avoid the inverse causality that exists between both terms.
The different factors must be taken into account when establishing a relationship, as well as the possible distortions that could be derived from the negative effects arising from financial globalization. It is necessary to know the definition of numerous terms that play a very important role in establishing a link between the two concepts.
Therefore, the main objective of this paper is to review the literature on the relationship between the process of financial globalization and the real economy. The process of financial globalization stimulates economic growth when macroeconomic imbalances and distortions are practically non-existent. Increases in capital flows are necessary to reduce the cost and increase efficiency and therefore the economic level. [-]
