El Periquité de Cortes d’Arenós. Una nova necròpolis tumular de l’Alt Millars (Castelló)

Abstract

Presentem en aquest treball la necròpoli túmular de El Periquité en la qual vàrem realitzar un sondeig en 2017. Es tracta d'un espai funerari de xicoteta grandària associat a un poblat situat a 200 metres. En ella es registren tant túmuls circulars com cambres rectangulars. A partir de l'aixovar i la tipologia de la cambra funerària hem establit la seua cronologia en l'ibèric Antic. El treball està dividit en dues parts. La primera dedicada a la descripció de l'excavació i els seus resultats. La segona dedicada a sintetitzar el que fins ara coneixem sobre les necròpolis de l'Alt Millars.

We present in this article a probe in the Periquite’s tumular necropolis located in Cortes de Arenoso (Castellón) in 2017. It is a small funerary space associated with a settlement located 200 meters away. There, some circular tumuls and rectangular chambers were registered. From the grave-goods and the typology of the funeral chamber we have established its chronology at the end of the 6th century ane. The paper is divided into two parts. The first one is dedicated to the description of the excavation and its results. The second one deals with the synthesis of the current knowledge about the Alt Millars necropolis.
