In this final project of the degree, we talk about the importance of taking care of the environment,
about the importance which the Delta de l’Ebre has as an ecosystem and about the importance that
the participation and collaboration of the school families have on children. All of these concepts are
going to be developed through some activities, in the kindergarten ages, since there is a necessity
that those children take good care of nature and their surroundings from an early age.
The theme goes around the problem which the Delta de l’Ebre is suffering, since is in danger
because it’s in a regression process, which could cause that much of its habitat and surrounding
villages end up disappearing. It’s for this reason that the necessity to move this problem to the
children’s class has come up. In order to raise awareness to the youngest kids about the
consequences that can appear if we don’t take care of the environment.
The activities that take place in this intervention are about knowing important characteristics and
aspects of the Delta de l’Ebre, involving, all the time, the children. This is done through a story of
some pirates that come visit the Delta de l’Ebre. Furthermore, in order to make the families part of
this intervention, there is a joined excursion to the Delta de l’Ebre. Thanks to the good results of the
planned sessions to work at the Delta de l’Ebre, we have been able to overcome the planned
objectives. [-]
