Serie Standby (I): profesorado, alumnado y embudo académico

Abstract

El proyecto artístico de movilización educativa STANDBY se creó en septiembre de 2016 para dar visibilidad, al estado de espera e incertidumbre que los recortes en educación de los últimos años han provocado en la comunidad universitaria. Estas circunstancias han llevado al colectivo a reinventarse académica y profesionalmente en su trayectoria vital. La Universidad Pública Española se encuentra en un proceso de cambio estructural de los principios que deberían sustentar su existencia y utilidad colectiva. Los principales daños se centran en la precariedad laboral y la dificultad extrema en el acceso a la función docente, la privatización y banalización del conocimiento y la ausencia de un espíritu colectivo que unifique esfuerzos por paralizar estos procesos. A lo largo de 2017 hemos ido elaborando distintas acciones artísticas, entre las que se encuentran “102 ideas y 60 meses en standby” y “Acción fotográfica para la creación colectiva” materializadas en más de 200 fotografías de participantes entre la comunidad universitaria y la ciudadanía. Estas acciones recrean simbólicamente a través de embudos y diferentes objetos la particular idea del estrangulamiento en el sistema educativo. STANDBY se construye a través de metáforas visuales, mediante murales fotográficos que se van ampliando a medida que se adhieren aquellas personas interesadas en participar en la propuesta. El proyecto es una prueba de que existe una llama y un espíritu crítico que sobrevive.

The educational mobilization art project STANDBY was created in September of 2016 to give visibility to the state of waiting and uncertainty that cuts in education in recent years have resulted in the university community. These circumstances have led to the collective to reinvent themselves academically and professionally in their history. The Spanish public University is in a process of structural change of the principles that should sustain its existence and collective use. The main damages focus on precarious employment and the extreme difficulty in access to the teaching function, the privatization and trivialization of knowledge and the absence of a collective spirit that unifies efforts to paralyze these processes. Along 2017 have been developing different artistic actions, which include "102 ideas and 60 months in standby" and "Photographic action for collective creation" materialized in more than 200 photographs of participants in the community university and citizenship. These actions recreate symbolically through funnels and various objects the idea of choking in the educational system. STANDBY is built through metaphors, Visual murals photo that will expand to adhere to those interested in participating in the proposal. The project is a proof that there is a flame and a critical spirit that survives.
