This project has been carried out with a group of twenty-five first of primary pupils in a public
school in Castellón. These students present behaviural problems that negatively affect the learning.
The aim of this project is to recognize, perform and analyse mazes, paths and geometric shapes
to develop spatial orientation.
Activities involving the use of the educational robot, bee-bot have been presented in order
for the students to achieve this objective. By using it, students have achieved not only the main
objective; but also developed computational thinking, laterality, spatial orientation, motivation, etc.
Generating a confortable working environment where children respect and help each other is difficult.
To make it possible we have worked with cooperative learning, to drive democratic discussion
between students.
Furthermore, group work has been more encouraged than individual work.
In conlcusion, this work wanted to link new technologies, in this case, educational robotics in the
school setting to motivate students and be able to learn spatial orientation, laterality and geometry
in a different way. [-]
