Introduction:
The evolutionary decrease
in physical exercise as
part of the daily life has
encouraged,
simultaneously with
oth
er factors, the emergence of the sedentary lifestyle and
the increase of diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease. Alzheimer’s disease is the
most
frequent
type
of
dementia and
could involve serious
complications
for the patient
both, to
physical and psychi
cal standards.
Various
studies show the beneficial relationship between
physical exercise and Alzheimer’s disease.
Objective
:
I
dentify
ing
the interventions of physical exercise that
help to
prevent
Alzheimer's
disease or reduce
i
t
s complications.
Methodology:
An
integra
tive review of the literature was
realized, with
descriptors in
a
natural and controlled language “exercise”, “Alzheimer disease” and “nursing care” in the
databases PubMed/Medline, Cochrane Plus, CINAHL, Cuiden and IBECS, LILACS and
Medline in the
Virtual Library of Health
Regional Portal
.
Results:
21.283 articles were obtained, which were reduced to 1.956 after applying the filters
to the dat
abases. After excluding the non
-
valid articles as well as
evaluating its
methodological
quality
, 20 artic
les were finally included for the integrative review.
Discussion:
P
h
ysical exercise interventions a
re
heterogeneous
and comprise variability wi
th
in
their
activities.
P
hysical exercise interventions
bring benefits
not only
for the prevention
but
also
for
the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.
Nursing
professionals are

d as
author
s
as
part of the multidisciplinary team
that carry
out
these interventions.
Conclusion:
P
hysical exercise interventions prevent the Alzheimer’
s disease, stop

reduce
physical and psychical complications. [-]

enfer
med
ades, entre ellas
la enfermedad de
Alzheimer
.
La enfermedad de
Alzheimer
es el tipo
de
demencia más frecuente y tiene importantes
complicaciones
para el paciente
a nivel
físico
y psíquico.
Diversos estudios señalan la relación
beneficiosa
entre el ejerc
icio físico
y
la
enfermedad de
A
lzheimer
.
A
lzheimer
lenguaje natural y controlado
“exercise”, “Alzheimer disease” y “n
ursing care”
en las bases
de datos PubMed/Medline, Cochrane Plus, CINAHL, Cuiden
e IBECS, LILACS y Medline a
previenen
la enfermedad de
A
lzheimer
,
frenan su progresión y reducen
sus complicaciones
f
ísicas y
psíquicas. [-]
