L’Orde de Montesa en època moderna

Abstract

La Orden de Santa María de Montesa y San Jorge de Alfama se desarrolló en la historia moderna gracias a los diferentes monarcas, cuya administración perpetua de la misma llevó a cabo una importante ayuda para su desarrollo a lo largo del periodo; con Felipe II, a partir de 1592, los sucesivos soberanos hispánicos se encargaron de las instituciones des de la Corte para el buen funcionamiento, adquiriendo poder en su legado y estableciendo vínculos con la noblesa del Reino de Valencia y la Iglesia propia de Orden, con la finalidad de consolidar una organización de ámbito militar y religioso de raíces monárquicas y al servicio de Su Majestad, apoyando una serie de directrices en sus ámbitos para llegar al objetivo que se deseara.

The Order of St. Mary of Montesa and St. George of Alfama developed in modern history thanks to the different monarchs, whose perpetual administration of the same carried out an important aid for its development throughout the period; with Felipe II, from 1592, the successive Hispanic sovereigns were in charge of the Institutions of the Court for the good functioning, acquiring power in his legacy and establishing links with the nobility of the Kingdom of Valencia and the Church proper of the Order, with the purpose of consolidating an organization of military and religious realm of monarchical roots and to the service of His Majesty, supporting a series of guidelines in its ambits to reach the desired target.
