dc.description.abstractThe aim of this paper is to show the benefits of acquiring English through playing video games with the help of the imperatives. Video games can be taken into account as an original tool when trying to upgrade the competences of a foreign language. Therefore, this research exposes that acquiring English through playing video games may be achievable. This is due to, after analysing the imperatives used at the tutorial stages of three different video games in consideration of that the people who use them experience a pleasant time playing video games. Consequently, the motivation becomes paramount for the acquisition of English.ca_CA
