Las investigaciones indican que el uso de Twitter se normaliza en las
redacciones. Periodistas y medios de comunicación recurren a esta red
social para buscar datos, contactar con fuentes, informar y promocionar
sus contenidos. La incorporación de esta herramienta a las rutinas
productivas genera gran parte de la literatura académica sobre las
implicaciones de Twitter en el periodismo. El objetivo de este artículo es
describir las principales líneas de investigación en la materia y recopilar los
hallazgos más relevantes sobre la influencia de Twitter en las rutinas
periodísticas. Al respecto, se concluye que Twitter se consolida como
herramienta de consulta habitual y que adquiere relevancia como vía de
entrada de voces alternativas, claramente motivadas en la construcción
colaborativa de las noticias. [-]
