Dentro del proceso de traducción el revisor es uno de los agentes más importantes
encargados de garantizar la calidad de las traducciones. Si bien existen investigaciones que abordan de manera más o menos directa la calidad en traducción médica, apenas se han realizado estudios específicos sobre la figura del revisor, esencial en el proceso de la traducción y de control de calidad, sobre todo en el campo médico. En el presente Trabajo de Fin de Máster (TFM), tras realizar una revisión bibliográfica sobre aspectos relacionados con la calidad y la revisión en el proceso de traducción, se lleva a cabo un estudio de caso cualitativo sobre la figura del revisor en plantilla de textos médicos de una empresa de servicios de traducción concreta. Para ello, se realizan entrevistas, semiestructuradas a una muestra de cuatro revisores de diversas combinaciones lingüísticas con el objetivo de obtener datos que permitan definir el perfil formativo y socioprofesional del revisor, describir sus tareas y modo de trabajo, determinar las competencias que ponen en
práctica así como aquellas a las que otorgan más importancia conocer su opinión la labor. [-]
