En los últimos años, ha habido un aumento considerable de las carreras por
montaña así como de los corredores en sí. Todo comenzó con los llamados
‘runners’. En principio, la moda de este deporte era correr en el asfalto pero ha
ido cambiando hacia nuevos lugares donde llevar a cabo este deporte; realizar
rutas y sendas por la montaña que estaban olvidadas y que se utilizaban
antiguamente como caminos entre pueblos para llevar mercancías. Ahora,
estos caminos se han convertido en circuitos de carreras donde los fines de
semana se llenan de miles de personas en lo que se llama al deporte ‘Trail
Running’.
Este hecho se debe a un cambio en la sociedad, una sociedad cansada de los
deportes tradicionales como es el fútbol, baloncesto, tenis… así también como
por el aburrimiento que puede general el correr por el asfalto de ciudades,
añadiéndole el factor de la contaminación. La montaña tiene un ‘plus’ y este
deporte hace que las personas contacten con la naturaleza.
El Trail Running es el deporte perfecto para las personas que les gusta
motivarse, buscar un nuevo objetivo en la vida y proponerse nuevas metas.
Este ‘boom’ también ha tenido otro tipo de consecuencias en la salud ya que es
necesario un plan específico de entrenamiento por la montaña. La clave del
éxito de las carreras es la preparación, sino se puede convertir en una
autentica pesadilla. En los últimos meses también se ha abierto el debate sobre
este deporte por la muerte de dos corredores en el Maratón Vías Verdes de
Ojos Negros en Castellón.
Este deporte engancha tanto a las personas porque llevan su cuerpo al
extremo y descargan todo el estrés del día a día durante los fines de semana.
Cada vez son más los deportes “de riesgo” un atractivo para los amantes de la
adrenalina. En torno a cualquier deporte que se populariza, también existen
otros factores externos como puede ser económicos o políticos. En este
aspecto, el Trail Running está dando muchos beneficios y satisfacciones. [-]
