El sentido de comunidad y el apoyo informal en las personas mayores. El caso Teulada - Moraira

Abstract

La presente investigación se desarrolla a partir de la asignatura de Trabajo Final de Máster, del Máster en Intervención y Mediación Familiar de la Universitat Jaume I. El trabajo se centra en el municipio de Teulada- Moraira. Relacionado con el ámbito de estudio del Máster, el tema de investigación es el sentido de comunidad y el apoyo informal en las personas mayores. El interés por este tema, es debido al crecimiento del número de personas mayores en la actualidad. Este contexto incita a preguntarse cómo es la vida de las personas mayores, qué apoyos tienen, etc. Además, el sentido de comunidad está poco estudiado con este sector de la población. La metodología utilizada para conocer el sentido de comunidad y el apoyo informal de las personas mayores es de tipo cualitativo, para ello se han realizado entrevistas abiertas estandarizadas a 5 personas mayores de Teulada-Moraira. Los resultados muestran que las personas mayores del municipio de Teulada-Moraira, poseen sentido de comunidad por diferentes razones (participación social, años vividos en el municipio, apoyo social, influencia), y además se muestra la estructura del apoyo informal con el que cuentan.

This research is developed from Master’s Final Project, the Master’s name is Familiar Intervention and Mediation , Universitat Jaume I. The study is focused on the town called Teulada-Moraira. Related to the sphere of our study, the theme of the investigation is the sense of community and informal support to the elderly people. I’m quite interested in this topic because the number of senior citizens is increasing a lot nowadays. This context incites questions such as how is the elders’ life is, which support they have, etc,. In addition, the sense community hasn’t been researched in this segment of population. The methodology use to know the sense of community and informal support to the elderly people is the qualitative analysis, by means of reviewing others studies and doing open and standard interviews to five aged people from this town. The result of this study points out that this kind of people in Teulada-Moraira has sense of community for differents reasons (social involvement , years lived in this town, social support, influence) and it shows the structure of the informal support that they have as well.
