La web 2.0 está variando las relaciones entre el poder y la ciudadanía, así como los procesos de comunicación. El sistema democrático y mediático actual están obsoletos y necesitan de nuevas herramientas que ejerzan de contrapoder. La monitorización política a través de las redes sociales aparece como una de las principales modalidades de influencia en la vida política y de participación democrática por parte del activismo político. Hasta ahora se conocen numerosas plataformas sociales destinadas a la fiscalización del poder, así como las nuevas prácticas del activismo político dentro del nuevo escenario mediático. Sin embargo no se conoce el funcionamiento y la utilidad de estas plataformas públicas. El objetivo de este trabajo es el de explicar en qué consiste la monitorización, su alcance y si realmente influye en la toma de decisiones de los centros de poder. A través del estudio de caso de la Fundación Civio y de Poletika.org se analiza su actividad en las redes sociales para conocer el papel real de la monitorización política en nuestro país. [-]

Web 2.0 is changing the relationship between power and citizenship, as well as communication processes. The current democratic and media system are outdated and they need new tools to be an anti-establishment movement. Political monitoring through social networks appears as one of the main ways to influence in political life and democratic participation by political activism. Nowadays there are many social platforms with the objective of supervise political establishment, besides there are many new practices of political activism in a new media scene. However the operation and usefulness of these public platforms are unknown. Goal of this inve1stigation is explain what monitoring is and measure its level of influence in establishment decisions making. Through the case study of Fundación Civio and Poletika.org and its activity in social networks is analyzed to find out about the role of political monitoring in our country. [-]
