In this paper we will lay out a marketing scheme for the implementation of a local gastronomic development agency. The name of the agency will be "GASTROCAS" and will offer counsel and promotion services to different restaurants in the area. Despite the fact that this is not a new idea, at present there are no other known agencies of these characteristics which offer quality services in the area where we are located. What has really led me to choose this option is the idea that in order to achieve something, you have to risk something and not just wait for things to happen out of the blue. The idea is risky as new competitors may arise but we must think that if we do things well and eagerly, the business might take off and become successful. In order to carry out the idea suggested in this project, we will carry out several studies as well as establish strategies in order for the project to become something tangible and real. The first objective is to help the reader get to know the business sector in question. Furthermore, we will analyse the state of our economy. One of the most important points of the plan will be to determine which will be company´s the target group as this is absolutely necessary in order to draw up suitable strategies. On the other hand, we will also study the existing market competition so as to establish which are its strengths and weaknesses. The objective of this point is to lay down the most favourable way to compete. Once the competitors have been analysed, we will study the marketing actions which must be carried out in order to be the best in the sector. Finally, we will set forth a budget and an action control in order to see if our objective has been reached. [-]
