Lilacs, Cinahl, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Scopus y PubMed. Entre febrero y marzo de

Background: The nursing outlook approach requieres an in-depth analysis, sustainability
strategies and evidence-based quality care improvements, among which is the Magnet®
Program focused on the nursing leading role regarding their work environment development,
skills and care quality.
Aim: The defined goals of the review consisted on identifying Magnet® hospital qualitybased
measures to improve nursing team satisfaction and exploring motivational methods
which may improve patient-nurse relationships, as well as establishing the transformational
leadership processes to ensure the Magnet® nursing work environment.
Methods: A review search was conducted using data bases like Cuiden, Dialnet, Lilacs,
Cinahl, Cochrane Library, ScienceDirect, Scopus and PubMed. Between February and March
of 2016. The temporary restriction was set at 5 years. The key terms were searched in title,
abstract and descriptors.
Results: A total of 2,980 articles were obtained, from which 2,856 (95,84 %) were excluded.
The main exclusive reason was not being related inside the hospital context. PubMed was the
database with the larger number of included articles, 15 (n=41,67 %). Choosing an amount of
34 publications in the review.
Conclusion: The scientific basis about which the Magnet® Hospital model is determined,
demonstrates the wide benefits in the health institutions, specially those related with nursing
team satisfaction, reduction on mortality and morbidity, care quality and the evidence-based
healthcare management model. [-]
