| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | Advertising has always been known for being a science in constant evolution and experimentation. It grows at the same rate at which new brands are born, technologies, sociological studies and other research that may adhere to it. But despite all these changes the figure of the woman and her representation in advertising has been mostly linked to sexuality, to submission and patriarchy. Even though, in recent years is suffering a deep and unexpected change. Nowadays advertising focused on women are working on new ways of proceeding. One of these ways is the normcore trend, although it has been proclaimed as the ultimate trend of 2015, we see that its roots have been developed due to the small changes that have taken place in recent years. To understand why these changes have been grouped together into a trend we will explain what this trend is, what are its bases and how it affects advertising focused on women and brands that represents. After this, a comparative analysis of two brands that are opposed to these values will be realized. One of these brands is fully associated with the values that transmit the normcore trend, while the other one follows the old stereotypes that women have gone on for hundreds of years. To finally find out how women perceive this type of advertising, both in terms of personal opinion and in its day to day. | ca_CA |
