factors”.

Introduction: Breast cancer is the neoplasm with highest incidence, prevalence and mortality
worldwide. The priority objective is to reduce the likelihood of developing cancer, but there is
little research linking lifestyle with predisposition for cancer. Therefore, the aim of this review is
to know that lifestyle can affect a greater predisposition for breast cancer, in people over 18
years. Methodology: Design: integrative review in Medline (PubMed), Lilacs, Cuiden Plus,
Cochrane and Scielo data, search strategy "breast neoplasms AND OR breast cancer risk factors."
Types of studies: clinical trials evaluating the risk factors associated with the occurrence of breast
cancer from January 2010 to January 2015, without restriction of place of publication and
limiting the Castilian language, English and Portuguese. Data analysis: qualitative synthesis of
the variables, sociodemographic, reproductive and gynecological, anthropometric, lifestyle and
morbidity. Results: 10 studies evaluated the risk factors associated with the development of
breast cancer, which in most studies showed that nulliparity, pregnancies in later life and status
post-menopause are risk factors for the development of cancer breast and fat intake, obesity and
overweight, exposure to certain environmental factors and educational level. And breastfeeding
and the prolonged intake of vitamin D are protective agents. Conclusion: despite being one of the
most researched tumors, it’s necessary more information to extract greater and greater education
findings to eliminate the topics surrounding this disease. [-]
