Radio has found in smart phones a new platform from which to revitalise its audiences and contents through services such as phone apps. The aim of this research is to analyse in a comparative way the current Spanish and Portuguese radio app offer. We base our study in the hypothesis that there is a limited exploitation of their resources and a necessity to carry out key services for the current radio prosumer. The methodology applied is the analysis of the content of the 8 radio stations with the biggest number of listeners following EGM (2014) and Baréme Radio (2014). The results suggest that their offer does not differ from the one expected in a newspaper, TV or any other digital app, concluding that even if there are a number of radio apps in the market those are not purely broadcasting-related.
