Tras los juicios de Núremberg y la fundación de la ONU en 1945, dos de las primeras universidades en ofrecer estudios específicos de interpretación de conferencias para responder a la creciente demanda de intérpretes cualificados fueron la Universidad Ruprecht-Karls de Heidelberg y la Universidad Johannes Gutenberg de Maguncia. Con el transcurso del tiempo, el sistema de formación de intérpretes resultó un éxito y llegó a ser considerado por muchos como modélico. Este sistema se caracterizaba por una concepción de formación polivalente orientada a unos exámenes finales que cualificaban a los alumnos para la inserción casi inmediata en el mercado laboral, por ofrecer una formación en materias complementarias de carácter no lingüístico y por formar a los estudiantes en interpretación con una lengua B activa. No obstante, ¿cómo se ha trasladado el antiguo sistema de Licenciatura en Interpretación al nuevo Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES) con la implantación del Plan de Bolonia? ¿Se han mantenido estos los tres rasgos definitorios de la Licenciatura? ¿Se ha logrado adaptar los estudios a las nuevas exigencias del mercado laboral?
Para intentar dar una respuesta a estas preguntas, en este Trabajo Final de Grado se describen y comparan aspectos fundamentales de las titulaciones anteriores y posteriores al Plan de Bolonia. En última instancia, este trabajo pretende describir y analizar la situación actual de la formación de intérpretes en Alemania, así como servir de guía para aquellos estudiantes que puedan estar interesados en cursar un Máster en Interpretación de Conferencias en Alemania.
