The main purpose of this project is to study the topic of solids and liquids in 5th year of primary science, developing a didactic approach that integrates the teaching and learning of English. This aim is based on the well grounded idea that this language can be learned simultaneously when studying science. In order to do it children will be scaffolded. This means that they will be guided and supported in their learning of both science and English. This activity will be implemented through an inquiry set of activities, which include LOTS and HOTS questions. The class will be arranged in order the students work collaboratively and share spectations and thoughts. Therefore, social constructivist issues frame this project. [-]
