The emergence of the Internet has brought many changes in the structure of
editors of the media, as they had to be tailored to the new methods of work and
the possibilities offered by the network in a short time.
The change in the traditional media editions to Internet caused by the advance
of technology, also affected to the journalistic genres. They have had to adapt
to a new way of writing and layout, as well as they have enriched themselves
due to hypertext and multimedia network. These last two attributes mentioned,
have given to the journalist the ability to delve into the journalistic pieces as well
as the chance to add multimedia elements in them, to give to the readers and
users as much information as possible. So this research studies the development and the changes undergone in the
informative journalistic genres in the digital publications. In this way, this article
aims to show how digital media have adapted themselves to the network
characteristics in the journalistic pieces, and find out which changes or
modifications have undergone in the informative journalistic genres on their way
to digital editions.
Obtaining the results was performed using a comparative analysis of six
different elements through the sample taken from the newspaper El País. This
analysis has resulted in the validation of the hypotheses. [-]
