The main goal is to verify to what extent some recruitment and selection tools improve the
company’s competitiveness. In order to conduct this experimental research a comparative
study has been undertaken between two companies, Colchones Delax S.L. and Plásticos
Biosca S.A., which have the same size, but have different methods of recruitment and
selection.
The criteria which have been chosen as dependent variables are performance, ability,
motivation and quality of worklife and, as independent variables, the methods of
recruitment and selection which have been used.
The experimental research has consisted in designing a structured questionnaire with
closed-end questions for 14 employees who work in each company and in analysing their
answers with IBM SPSS STATISTIC 21. In this way we can verify that the methods of
selection which have been performed by each company affect the company’s
competitiveness to a greater or lesser extend. [-]
