Organizaciones Saludables y Resilientes (Salanova,
supervisores inmediatos. La muestra está compuesta
por 1.431 empleados anidados en 264 equipos
pertenecientes a 74 Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas

The present study contributes to understand the
relationship between empathy, positive emotions and
quality of service in work teams and is based on the
Model of Healthy and Resilient Organizations (Salanova,
Llorens, Cifre, y Martínez, 2012), utilizing information
added to the level of the team and the perception of
immediate supervisors. The sample is composed of 1.431
employees embedded in 264 teams and belonging to 74
small and medium sized Spanish companies (PyMEs) of
the service sector. The variables were added at the team
level, utilizing the Coefficient of Interclass Correlations
(CCI). The Structural Equation Models revealed that the
positive emotions partially mediate between empathy
and quality of service in work teams. The theoretical and
practical implications are discussed. [-]
