The aim of this Master’s thesis is to have a better understanding of students’ and
teachers’ views on the use of ICT in secondary education. It reports quantitative and
qualitative findings from a case study conducted in the IES Penyagolosa in Castellón de la Plana
in which 91 students and 4 teachers participated. The survey findings reveal that, despite being
familiarised with ICT for personal use and having positive attitudes to ICT, these teachers and
students were not ready to use ICT for foreign language teaching and learning in a successful
way because they did not assumed the new roles. To overcome this problem more training
based on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework is suggested in
order for educators to be able to effectively integrate content, pedagogy and technology in the
EFL classroom. As an example of the integration of the ICTs from a TPACK perspective, this
Master’s thesis offers empirical evidence about the potential of using blogs in the foreign
language field. [-]

lenguas extranjeras [-]
