The purpose is for it to contain the institutional repository of Universitat Jaume I, which will progressively include publications, documents and other material in digital format deriving from the teaching, research and institutional activity of members of the university community. The Castelló Digital Library also forms part of this repository, which includes publications and documents created by authors from Castelló or on subjects concerning the province of Castelló.

The website:

• Covers information on the repository (help, recent acquisitions, contact, etc.)
• Offers the chance to search for and consult the documents included in the repository online.

All the contents, including texts, images and any other material are the property of Universitat Jaume I or third parties that have authorised its use.

The authors maintain their rights over the materials and only grant Universitat Jaume I permission to disseminate them using the institutional repository under the conditions established by the licence accompanying them. Each document specifies its usage and reproduction conditions, which it is necessary to know before using the material. In some cases, the materials included in the Repository are subject to Creative Commons licences, so anyone can access the material to copy it, distribute it, use it and publicly communicate it, provided the author or authors of the material and Universitat Jaume I are cited, as well as the origin.
