El Castell de la Vilavella: Avance de los resultados obtenidos en la Campaña 2010 (La Vilavella, Castellón)

Abstract

Presentación preliminar de los resultados obtenidos en el yacimiento de El Castell de La Vilavella durante la intervención arqueológica realizada en el año 2010, motivada por el interés del Ayuntamiento de La Vilavella en acometer su puesta en valor. Dicha intervención contempla, por primera vez en el yacimiento, varias actuaciones sistemáticas que han permitido acercarnos a su secuencia ocupacional. Secuencia que, a priori, según los mencionados resultados, abarca desde la edad del bronce hasta época cristiana, destacando, por el estado de conservación de las estructuras arquitectónicas y restos materiales asociados a ellas, la fase ibérica y andalusí.

The preview of the results obtained at the site of El Castell de The Vilavella during the archaeological intervention, carried out in 2010, motivated by the interest of the Town Hall of Vilavella to undertake its implementation in value. Such intervention includes, for the first time in the field, several systematic actions that have brought us closer to their occupational sequence. This sequence, a priori, according to these results, covers from the bronze age until the Christian era, underlining the conservation status of the architectural structures and remnants associated with them, the Iberian phase and Andalusi.
