Abstract

El text que a continuació poden llegir es divideix en dues parts. La primera, davall el títol "L’histriònic teatre del món", intenta abordar les característiques de l’exposició que Sergi Cambrils ofereix a la Galeria Octubre de la Universitat Jaume I de Castelló, en allò que es podria considerar un text crític d’aproximació a la mostra i explicació a l’espectador. L’altra, concebuda a priori com un epíleg d’una dotzena de línies integrat en la primera, va créixer fins a merèixer ser segona part, i anunciant: "S’extrauen ànimes", ofereix una opinió més personal, i per això menys asèptica, de la transcendència que adquireix l’obra de Cambrils, amb la intenció de traslladar clarament que estem davant un dels millors creadors del panorama plàstic de les nostres terres.

The text you can read below is divided into two parts. The first, entitled "The histrionic theatre of the world", attempts to explore the characteristics of the exhibition that Sergi Cambrils is showing in the Universitat Jaume I’s Octubre Gallery in Castelló, and may be considered as a critical text about the show providing an explanation to the viewer. The second, initially conceived as an epilogue of some twelve lines within the first section, grew to the point that it merited its own section; announcing Souls extracted, it offers a more personal – and therefore less restrained – opinion of the importance the work of Cambrils is acquiring, in an attempt to clearly show that he is one of the most creative individuals on today’s artistic scene.
