dc.description.abstract | Title: Wound healing and Hyperbaric Oxygenation Therapy. Aims: Wounds healing can become a complicated task due to its great variability. Especially when these are difficult to heal or there are other factors that complicate it. Therefore, the objective of this study is to know the effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygenation therapy in the healing of different types of wounds. Methodology: An integrative review of the literature was made based on studies done in the last 10 years on the healing of wounds through hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Performing the search in PubMed, Cochrane Library, SciELO and CINAHL databases between January and April 2019. Findings: 563 articles were identified. Only 1.42% (n = 8) were included. The majority of them being published in PubMed (n = 4), Cochrane Library (n = 3), CINAHL (n = 1), without finding any results in the SciELO database. Conclusions: There are small studies that support the use of hyperbaric oxygenation therapy for wound healing. However, these are scarce and higher quality samples are needed in order to reduce biases. They coincide in the maintenance of a conventional heal. Moreover, the need to do more research on the use of wound therapy. | ca_CA |
| ca_CA |
