Introduction: Baby Led Weaning is a method that has regained a lot of strength in recent years. Numerous studies show the benefits of complementary feeding for infants but there also risks. For parents, it is a method that generates doubts hence the importance of conducting research focused on this area. Objectives: design and validation of an instrument that allowed the evaluation that the perfection of parents of infants from 0 to 6 months has about Baby Led Weaning. Methods: in this cross-sectional study a review of the literature was carried out through which the instrument was developed. A pilot test was conducted in order to validate the instrument. As well as also later a piloting with a real sample to 216 parents was carried out. This sample was used to calculate the internal validity of the instrument and the validity of the construct through factorial analysis. A descriptive and bivariate analysis of the actual sample obtained was also performed. Results: the final instrument had a total of 28 items. The internal reliability index calculated through Cronbach’s Alfa was acceptable (0,667), as well as the results of KMO and Barlett allowed the calculation of the factorial analysis, it was observed how 65,12% of the variance is explained through three factors. Finally, the study of the actual sample indicates the existence of statistically significant relationships between different variables of the instrument such as between the type of lactation and the perception or the knowledge of benefits and perception. Conclusions: the instrument created has proved to be valid to evaluate the level of perception of parents about the Baby Led Weaning method.ca_CA
