It has recently become public that the American television network CBS has signed a contract termination agreement with his executive director, Harvey Weinstein, who will leave the company after facing multiple accusations of harassment. This is just one more episode in a very long series of accusations, which are still going on, revealing an open secret in the American film industry: the existence of powerful men who use of their position to sexually harass women looking for their opportunity to develop their professional careers in the industry. Indeed, the well-known "Weinstein case" triggered the #Metoo movement, which has managed to give visibility to a large number of victims of the most serious cases of abuse, showing how "gender-based violence" is also suffered in all professional spheres and in a good number of strong economic sectors. However, reality has proved that this problem is not confined to specific countries or sectors, but is unfortunately widespread. Indeed, last spring Spain experienced its own ‘Me too’ campaign in a very particular context: that of temporary female strawberry harvesters in Huelva. The movement was triggered by the publication on 30th April of the article “Raped in European fields” by the German magazine Correctiv. The article was subsequently broadcast in Spanish by BuzzFeed News on 18th May and it denounced both the sexual and physical abuse and the bad work conditions suffered by female, foreign, seasonal workers (mainly Moroccan and Romanian) in the agricultural sector in European countries such as Spain and Italy by landowners and overseers.
