dc.description.abstract | Fibromyalgia (FM) is a chroni c condition of unknown aetiology, characterized by the presence of chronic generalized musculoskeletal pain, with low tolerance to pain, hyperalgesia and allodynia, and it is more prevalent in adult women (Cabo - Meseguer et al., 2017). The widespread belief that there is a weather influence on the symptoms of FM, has made it a subject of study over the years, which has not yielded any clear evidence yet. The general objective of this work is to monitor the degree of pain and the atmospheric variables of temp erature, pressure and humidity, simultaneously in a group of 13 subjects diagnosed with FM, who suffer chronic pain, and in a group of 12 controls, through the use of an Ecological Momentary Evaluation’s App ("Monitor Emocional "), during 6 weeks. The resul ts showed no correlation between pain and none of the weather variables in both groups; however, a high level in the belief of the weather influences on pain was observed for both groups. Likewise, it was observed that the application "Emotional Monitor" ( APP of ecological momentary evaluation used for this study), is a good tool to discriminate between clinical population and normal population. This study has allowed us to explore the contextual factors that intervene in pain, and more specifically the inf luence of climate on Fibromyalgia, as well as the beliefs associated with the relationship of these variables. The results show that the modification of beliefs through psychological treatment could be a line of future work with this type of patients. | ca_CA |
| ca_CA |
