In recent years, respiratory disorders of sleep, and especially obstructive sleep apnea síndrome (OSAS ), have been generating an increasing interest, this being one of the diseases that has emerged the most from the epidemiological point of view. Currently, it is considered a public health problem due to its high prevalence and the evidence of its as sociation with cardiovascular problems, cerebrovascular accidents, increased mortality and traffic and labor accidents. For all these reasons, and given that this understanding can be treated effectively, it is considered necessary to make all health profe ssionals aware of the importance of a quick and efficient identification of these patients. The present end of the degree project has consisted in the realization of a care protoco l for the management of the OSAS , being an assistance protocol addressed to the Department of Health of Castellón. It aims to be a reference document to coordinate the different levels of care involved with this diseaseca_CA
