Analysis of ethical banking

Abstract

The objective of this Final Degree Project is make a description of the concept of the Ethical Banking, starting off the origin and evolution of the concept, to study its main aspects, and to analyze the most relevant characteristics and figures of the most important ethical banks of national level as international. To explain all that information about the Ethical Banking, it is necessary to examine the general ethical context. Therefore, the most relevant academic literature that has been published in relation to this has been identified. The methodology used to perform this work is mainly qualitative, but quantitative data have also been used in the analysis of ethical banks. The conclusions obtained from the work are that the Banca Etica has gained a lot of importance in the last years of the crisis and it has its own characteristics that differentiate it from traditional banking. It has been configured as an alternative to the Traditional Banking system and although its main objective is not to obtain high economic returns, are able to combine the interests of society with the achievement of a series of financial objectives.
