dc.description.abstractThis paper analyses the evolution of women in the labour and social sphere and their progress in the achievement of effective equality between men and women, both socially and professionally. It also analyses the influence of equality promotion laws at European and national level, as well as the main barriers women face in order to achieve a leadership position. The paper ends with the study of the case of a female manager, Ana María Llopis, director of DIA Supermarkets, through which the advantages of female leadership are exposed, gender roles are demythologized in the workplace and the ceiling rupture is justified of Cristal.ca_CA
