| ca_CA |
dc.description.abstract | Background: Underage drinking is an increasingly evident health problem. Teenagers are more likely to be attracted to certain risk behaviors. Primary prevention is essential in order to prevent health problems in adulthood. Objectives: The objectives defined in the review were evaluating the effectiveness of current underage drinking primary prevention activities, as well as, analyzing their connection with the reduction of alcohol drinking in this group, clarifying the benefits and estabilshing the most appropiate ones. Methodology: This is an integrative review. A bibliographic search was done in PubMed, Cochrane Library, CINAHL, LILACS, IBECS, and BVS databases during the months of February and March, 2017. The temporal limit was 10 years. Results: A total of 220 articles were obtained, of which 211 (95,90%) were excluded. The main reason for exclusion was not being related to the subjet under study. PubMed was the database with the largest number of articles. A total of 9 articles were selected for the review. Conclusions: Alcohol prevention programs in adolescence seem to be effective and to have a lot of benefits. However, the data are not overwhelming, more research is needed. The most appropiate activities according to the evidence would be those of short duration, free assistance and those which incite teenagers to feel participants. | ca_CA |
