Relaciones entre iguales en las aulas: tipos sociométricos, amistades, enemistades y reputaciones

Abstract

Peer relationships re pres ent an important role in social, emotional and cognitive child development. It is known that children rejected by their peers are at risk. Therefore, it is necessary to evalu ate relations in the school context and intervene early. The instrument used for studying the social situation of students in their classroom is the sociometric questionnaire. The first phase of this study involv ed carrying ou t research in the classrooms o f 4 th , 5 th and 6 th year primary students , from 7 schools ( n = 1182; 53.6% boys). We introduced the data collected in the software Sociomet to learn each student ’s sociometric status. Based on these results, we prepare d a report for the tutors, with indicatio ns for preventive intervention. However, this degree thesis focuses on research. Using the index es created by Sociomet and exporting them to IBM SPSS Statistics 23, we studied the friendships, enmities and reputation of every student in their class group. The variables used are the positive reciprocities, negative reciprocities, and positive and negative impressions. We made parametric analyses to observe the differences between sociometric types in terms of frie ndship, enmity, reputation and differences in reputation between sexes . The results indicate that there are double as many rejected boys than girls. In addition, the rejected children are the ones that have less friends , more enmities and worse reputation s , contrary to what happens with the preferred . On the other hand, girls have a positive reputation higher than boys, not being differences in negative reputation. Interventions should be directed to work with the reputation and facilitate the formation of friendships in the rejected children .

Las relaciones entre iguales juegan un papel importante en el desarrollo social, emocional y cognitivo del niño. Se sabe que los niños rechazados por sus compañeros están en situación de riesgo. Por ello es necesario evaluar las relaciones en el contexto escolar e intervenir de form a temprana. El i nstrumento más utilizado para conocer la situación social de cada alumno en el aula es el cuestionario sociométrico. La primera fase de e ste estudio es un trabajo de campo en aulas de 4º, 5º y 6º de primari a, de 7 colegios ( n =1182; 53.6% chicos ). Introdujimos l os datos recogidos en el software Sociomet para conocer la posición socio métrica de cada alumno . En base a estos resultados , elaboramos un informe par a los tutores de cada aula , con indicaciones para intervención preventiva . No obstante, e ste Trabajo de Fin de Grado se centra en la vertiente de investigación. Mediante los índic es arrojados por el Sociomet y exportados a IBM SPSS Statistics versión 23 , e studiamos las amistades, enemistades y reputación de cada alumno/a en su grupo - clase. L as variables utilizadas son las reciprocidades positivas, reciprocidades negat ivas, e impres iones positivas y negativas. Realizamos análisis paramétricos para ver l as diferencias entre tipos sociométricos en amistad, enemistad y reputación y las di ferencias de sexo en reputación. Los resultados indican que hay el doble de niños rechazados que niñ as y además los rechazados son los que menos amistades, más enemistades y peor reputación tienen, al contrario de lo que ocurre con los preferidos. Por otra parte, las niñas tienen reputación positiva más alta que los niños, no encontrándose diferencias en reputación negativa. L as intervenciones deben dirigirse a trabajar con la reputación y facilitar la formación de amistades en los rechazados.
