Abstract

This dissertation is a deep research about investment, differences between investor and speculator, types of assets to invest and passive investment. Therefore, the paper focuses on the evaluation and comparison the most common assets to invest in shares, bonds and bills through risk, volatility, return performance by asset. Also, the dissertation performs a review of the passive investment: definition, returns, expected returns, costs, taxes and why select passive funds. The idea behind this dissertation is to answer the questions: Which is the best asset to invest? Which risk and volatile is this asset? Which is the best fund to be invested? In addition, all the reasons behind the answers. In conclusion, Passive Index Investment is superior than the other options available and the best way to everybody that want to invest in the long run.
