Seguridad en Android

Abstract

El objeto de este trabajo es estudiar y analizar la seguridad en el Android con la finalidad de entender cómo proteger mejor los móviles que se utilizan en el día a día. Se han de tener en cuenta unos pasos y unas estrategias para prevenir un ataque con malware o la entrada de terceros sin permiso, así como, saber de qué manera reaccionar ante el ataque. Aunque las tecnologías son un tema muy hablado hoy en día, los usuarios aún desconocen las maneras muy fáciles de mejorar la seguridad de sus dispositivos. Muchas veces se olvida que dentro de los móviles se tiene información privada. Asimismo, esta información en el caso de un ataque de malware, está en gran riesgo de perderse o peor, puede ser recogida y utilizada para diferentes fines, por los atacantes. Además, muchos usuarios piensan que este tipo de ataque se suele dar solamente en las grandes empresas o instituciones que tienen información que se podría vender a priori, pero la realidad y las estadísticas llevadas a cabo enseñan lo contrario. Solamente descargando aplicaciones del lugar no apropiado o conectarse a redes Wi-Fi abiertas, puede hacer que cualquiera sea víctima. Todo lo que se presentará a continuación es una serie de recomendaciones y consejos simples que cada individuo con un móvil con el sistema operativo de Android puede tomar en consideración para su propio beneficio y el del dispositivo. También, algunas de las sugerencias generales se pueden aplicar a cualquier tipo de sistema operativo utilizado como IOS o Windows Phone, sin embargo, otras, solamente se pueden utilizar para el sistema estudiado en este trabajo, es decir el Android.

The purpose of this paper is to study and analyse the security of Android in order to understand how to protect in a better way the mobiles that people use every day. It is important to know the steps and the strategies to prevent an attack with malware or the entry without permission of third parties, as well as to know how to react in case of facing the attack. Even if technology is a topic that everyone talks about nowadays, the users still do not know the easy ways to improve the security of their devices. Many times, it is forgotten that inside the phones people have private information. Likewise, that information in the case of a malware attack, it is in danger of getting lost or worse, it can be collected and used for different purposes, by the attackers. Also, a lot of the users believe that this kind of attack usually takes place only in the big companies or institutions that have information that can be sold a priori. But, the reality and the statistics made show the contrary. Only by downloading an application from the wrong place or connecting on an open Wi-Fi network can make everyone be a victim. All that is going to be presented in the work is formed by a series of simple recommendations and advices that every individual that owns a mobile with the operating system of Android can take in consideration for his/her own good, and for the good of the device. Also, some of the suggestions can be applied to every type of operative system such as IOS or Windows Phone. However, some of the suggestions can only be used for the studied system, that is Android.
