Perfil sociodemográfico y criminógeno del menor infractor en la provincia de Castellón

Abstract

La delincuencia juvenil es un problema muy grave ya que a día de hoy el porcentaje de menores en régimen de internamiento en la Comunidad Valenciana va aumentando año tras año. El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el perfil sociodemográfico y criminógeno del menor infractor con medidas de internamiento. Para ello se analizaron las trayectorias delictivas de 100 menores con una medida de internamiento en centro finalizada y así poder compararlo con estudios de diferentes autores. Las variables se estudiaron mediante un procedimiento objetico con el Inventario IGI-J. Los resultados apuntan que el perfil del menor infractor en la provincia de Castellón es muy similar al del resto de España

Juvenile delinquency is considered a major issue nowadays, an ever-increasing burden for the Comunidad Valenciana which is registering more and more minors under internment regime. The goal of this report is to study the main profile of the juvenile offenders under internment regime (or detention). For that matter, the criminal careers of 100 minors with a finalized internment decision, were studied in order to compare it with previous studies from other authors. Inside a 7 year time period (from 2008 till 2015), certain variables were studied such as age, sex, risk factors, sociodemographic factors and criminogenic factors. Results revealed that those juvenile offender profiles found inside the Castellón, were very similar to those found in the rest of Spain.
