dc.description.abstractThis paper poses a twofold objective a) examine whether there is relationship between contextual vari-ables, intention to learn (expectations) and learning strategies. and b) analyzing the motivational pro-file 3ºESO students in the subject of biology The sample consists of 40 students / as 3ºESO, who collaborated on the research anonymously and voluntarily. The instruments used for data collection were three reports self-Likert two students and one teacher of the subject. For analysis of the results the SPSS program that calculating descriptive statistics mean and standard deviation for each factor and the coefficient of internal consistency relia-bility Cronbach alpha was performed was used bivariate correlations Pearson and diagrams were cal-culated bar of the study variables. As for the scales you use, according to the results, we can say that they have good reliability and con-struct validity. The results for the first objective, to examine whether there is relationship between contextual variables, intention to learn (expectations) and learning strategies, can forecast as hypothe-ses raised in a significant association between the variables studied. According to the second to ana-lyze the motivational profile of students, we can say that the motivational profile showing subjects is high. Regarding the educational implications for education, bearing in mind, that if we are able to activate student motivation have guaranteed success in their learning.
