The Mayasen rural cottage

Abstract

The current job insecurity situation is forcing people to become their own bosses even more so than before, and making them to think of other business alternatives. The trend is going towards that type of job. As put forward by the founding member of Cesae, revenue management, tourism and hotel management training school: Rural tourism has a future, and it is in the hands of those who are being properly trained. I would initially think that, for the national hospitality industry, I am the kind of person this authoritative voice is referring to. In my case, when I had to do my final project for graduation, I thought I would take the chance to do something I was very comfortable with, which was related to nature and traveling, together with what I had been doing for the last four years — studying Business and Management Administration at James I University. Now, this motivation has come in the shape of a marketing plan, which is close to a business plan, as a matter of fact, of a new rural cottage. I am defining it as a business plan because this is not going to be a run-of-the-mill study of something that already exists, but something that is going to be created instead. The Mayasen rural cottage will be a hotel establishment that will be considered as such. This rural cottage will be built in 2017, as a result of a renovation of a country farmhouse on the Rocas de Mayasen area, a unique place in the region, located just 2 km away from Vilafames’s town center. The Mayasen rural cottage will be the perfect place to enjoy some rest days, breaking away from work and feeling in contact with nature, with a partner, family or friends. We want to turn into an ecological house, and for this I vamo to give the house everything related to be respectful of nature, and customers perceive us this way.
