Las tertulias políticas en televisión. Una comparativa entre el modelo de "Un tiempo nuevo" y el de “La Sexta Noche"

Abstract

Las tertulias políticas han adquirido una relevancia importante en los últimos años en las televisiones generalistas, erigiéndose como espacios de debate sobre la actualidad. En ese sentido, esta investigación propone una comparativa entre los modelos planteados por La Sexta Noche y Un Tiempo Nuevo, los dos programas que compiten por la audiencia del prime-time del sábado noche en la televisión española. El análisis comparativo planteado en esta investigación se basa en confrontar aspectos relativos al formato, a la participación y argumentación de los tertulianos, a la agenda temática y a los elementos del infoentretenimiento, a través de la aplicación de un análisis de contenido cuantitativo y la extracción de ejemplos significativos. Los resultados de la investigación muestran que L6N y UTN comparten el mismo modelo, al tratarse ambos de programas contenedores con presencia de infoentretenimiento basados en la actualidad semanal y fundamentados en los géneros dialógicos, aunque se observan diferencias en cuanto a la distribución de tiempo en los temas tratados.

In recent years, talk shows, understood as a debate shows among several participants of these programmes in Spain, have reached relevancy in the general-interest television. In this way, this research proposes a comparison between the models proposed by La Sexta Noche and Un Tiempo Nuevo, the two programmes which compete for the prime time on Saturday night’s audience in the Spanish television. The comparative study proposed in this research is based on the confrontation of these two programmes about some aspects, related to the format; the participation and the speech used by the guests; the topics’ selection, and the infotainment items. In order to achieve our goals, we applied a quantitative analysis of the contents and we extracted significant examples. Despite the fact that several differences regarding to the time distribution of the topics dealt were detected between both programmes, investigation results show that L6N and UTN share the same model, because both programmes involve several topics and are based on current issues as well as focused on dialogic genres
