From the idea of cinema as a space for creation but also for education, I deal with how many homosexual filmmakers, writers and playwrights sublimated and built –through the creation of some female characters– private aspects that could hardly have been addressed otherwise. At the same time, a whole anonymous audience was being educated with similar parameters, obviously with the fall of Hollywood film studios, feminist discourses and the gay movement itself. All this allowed a reinterpretation and questioning of all these topics. To deal with these aspects with some open notes is also an attempt to approach how many gay people developed the construction of a sentimental education far from the «rules» but subverting them through what was later called «camp», which is only the need to subvert what refuses them within the parameters of mass culture.ca_CA
