Problemas conductuales y emocionales asociados al rendimiento académico

Abstract

El presente Trabajo de Final de Grado tiene como propósito investigar si las variables del rendimiento académico y el sexo pueden estar relacionadas con problemas emocionales y conductuales en la Educación Infantil. Para ello, se tomó una muestra de cincuenta y un participantes de entre 5 y 6 años de edad procedentes de un colegio de Educación Infantil y Primaria de la provincia de Castellón. Dichos participantes fueron evaluados mediante el test SPECI, Screening Problemas Emocionales y de Conducta Infantil para conocer si padecían algún tipo de problema conductual o emocional, se les recogieron los diversos datos sobre sexo, y se realizo una valoración interjueces para obtener su nivel de rendimiento académico. Posteriormente, se analizaron los resultados del test SPECI, Screening Problemas Emocionales y de Conducta Infantil y la influencia que las variables pudieran ejercer sobre los niños que tenían algún problema con el manejo de las emociones y la conducta para establecer relaciones entre estos. Los resultados finales muestran una correlación significativa entre los trastornos emocionales y de conducta, y el rendimiento académico. En cambio, con la variable sexo no aparece ninguna significación estadística que la relacione con dichos problemas, es decir, el género no es influyente en este tipo de trastornos.

The present final work of degree has the aim to research if the variables of academic achievement and sex can be related with emotional and behavior problems in nursery school. For that, it gathered a sample of fifty-one participants, who are 5 and 6 years old and they are from Nursery and Primary School of the province of Castellón. These participants were evaluated by the SPECI, Screening Emotional and Behavior Problems to know if they have some behavior or emotional problems, it gathered different information about sex, and it did interjudge valuation to get their academic achievement level. Afterwards, it analyzed the results of SPECI, Screening Emotional and Behavior Problems and the influence that the variables could exercise on children who have some problems to manage emotions and behavior to establish relations between them. The final results show a significant interrelationship between emotional and behavior disruptions and academic achievement. However, the sex variable does not show statistics significance that it is related with these problems, that is, the sex is not influential in these kinds of disruptions.
