dc.description.abstract | Learning a foreign language is no longer conceived without the use of new technologies. By using modern information technologies students can improve their competences and skills. ICT can be used for a variety of activities and it offers exposure to authentic language and culture, encouraging learners to succeed in the process of learning a foreign language. At the same time the multimodal aspects of ICT tools allow students to speak, write, present and perform in the language and often provide instant feedback on accuracy, fluency and understanding, thus, motivating students to improve through self-correction. By the mean of the blog we want to introduce in the classroom a new way of teaching and at the same time we change the traditional role of the teacher. The last becomes also a participant in the process of learning. This research is divided into five parts. The first part is an introduction to the use of Knowledge and Learning Technology to understand better what it means. The second one is the method with the explanation of the didactic unit that includes the context, objectives, contents, timing, materials, development and assessment. In the third part I deal with the results obtained from the research. Results demonstrate: a) explanation about the blog, b) motivation, c) preferences at working with ICT. Finally there is a conclusion where I reflect the students’ preferences, difficulties found during the blog and the efficacy using ICT in the classroom and in the process of learning English as a foreign language. | ca_CA |
