In the Autonomous Community of Valencia there are numerous professional
associations in the field of communication. These organizations work in the defense of
material interests of the collective, as well as they pursue several objectives in order to
gain various benefits for the sector.
The protection of the sector's interests, also known as lobby strategy, is an
action that is spreading over to obtain favorable decisions by the public and local
authorities, especially on legislative and judicial issues.
In the same way, professional communication associations as well as any
public or private company consider necessary to manage their corporate communication
in orther to broadcast their message. Always in relation with the values, goals and
corporate culture of the organization. The ultimate goal is definitely to get reputation
and disseminate the activities to reach the right target and the suitable environment clear
and transparent.
Sometimes this work and effort made does not occur for various reasons ,
including overlap of functions and/or activities or the lack of cooperation and maturity
of the entities. It might be argued that there is competition between these non-profit
entities to be influenced by a latent deficiency in corporate communications strategy.
This Master 's Dissertation sets out to study, through the detailed analysis of
four professional communication associations of the Autonomous Community of
Valencia, how they manage their corporate communication, the degree of competition
and cooperation , and what features they have in common or not. We will interview the
Association of Advertising Communication, the College of Advertising and Public
Relations, Dircom Comunitat Valenciana and adComunica . We will also analyze the
four websites of the entities to get first-hand knowledge about their online strategy and
tactics.
That allow us to explain the real situation of these entities and their specific
contribution to the sector in their own Autonomous Community
