In the essay, we focus on the privacy risks created through the access to the Internet by both users and non-users of online social networks (OSN); which prove a threat to data protection both because of users voluntarily providing data which can be considered sensitive, and the often abuse of cookies by service providers. Specifically, we will be focusing on the OSN Facebook and Google+, the latter being a part of the many services owned by Google and provided under the same Privacy Policy.
